Step straight from the door onto the Malvern ridge: nine miles of hills, and sweeping views across the Severn Valley all the way to the Cotswolds.
The Malvern Hills rise straight from our doorstep — nine miles of ridge, footpaths and springs, with views that reach thirty miles on a clear day. Walk out before breakfast, carry a picnic pack to the top, or take one of the gentler trails through the woodland; whatever the soul desires – or the legs are up to, the hills are yours from the moment you leave the door. Ask the team for a route to suit you, and we'll set you off in the right direction.
Some of the walks included in the Visit the Malverns walking guides can be accessed on foot from The Cottage in the Wood and we will be happy to guide you through the best way to join the route.
Walk the Malvern Hills: a self-guided walking booklets is available to purchase at the hotel or from Walking the hills.
