Xenie Hornackova is promoted to Operations Manager

The whole team at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern is thrilled to announce that Xenie Hornackova has been internally promoted to the hotels Operations Manager as of November 2020.

Having recently completed a multi-million pound refurbishment programme, The Cottage in the Wood hotel and restaurant is now a top destination both locally and nationally with ambitions to continuously improve the quality of the product and service offered to guests and visitors to the Malvern Hills.  Xenie will be at the forefront of this continuous improvement, championing the brand vision and delivering it throughout the hotel to ensure that the hotel is the friendly, welcoming place which makes guests feel so at home.

Joining us in 2016 as a Food and Beverage Assistant, Xenie made an instant impact on the team, and her positive energy and enthusiasm to offer the highest standards for our guests was immediately noticeable.  Having worked alongside the owners and management of the hotel, combined with her hunger to continuously learn and develop and her natural love for hospitality, Xenie has been selected and appointed for the new role.

About the appointment, owner Nick Davies said: “We are very excited to be promoting Xenie. I have worked with Xenie since she joined us as a part-time F&B assistant 4 years ago and it has been a pleasure to see her develop into the competent manager and motivational leader that she is today. I am looking forward to further enhancing her career as Operations Manager and working with her to further develop our offering at The Cottage in the Wood”

Xenie said: “I am excited about the new role.  The team at The Cottage in the Wood is really special and we help each other every day, there is always someone to make you smile.  Seeing returning guests to the hotel also makes me really happy.  There is always space for improvement, especially in the hospitality industry and we will be keeping abreast of new trends to ensure customer satisfaction.  We will be looking to make little improvements every day!”
