The Cottage in the Wood’s ‘S’ Lunch Menu

Looking for a quick lunch in Malvern that wasn’t made in haste?

The new S menu at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern offers guests the perfect balance between a light, quick bite and punchy flavours, carefully created from locally-sourced ingredients. Why not enjoy a break from the office with sandwiches, salads and sharers, and amazing views over the Severn Valley.

Sandwiches

Try our signature Cottage club sandwich, a magnificent three-tier toasted turret of chicken, bacon and salad, or try a traditional fish finger sandwich revamped with breaded Cornish Hake and homemade tartare sauce on Granary & rye bread, both served with hand cut, triple cooked chips. For a lighter option, why not order the zingy chargrilled Cornish sardines on sourdough toast with ripe roasted tomatoes, red peppers and chimichurri.

Salads

Those looking for a healthier choice can delve into ‘The Cottage Salad’, with layers of tangy goat’s cheese, chicory, pink grapefruit, heritage beetroot, pomegranate and a pine nut dressing. Our classic chicken and bacon Caesar contains all the traditional components, with anchovies, parmesan, sourdough croutons and a creamy Caesar dressing or for a sharper dish sample the confit salmon salad, on a bed of grapes, shallots, purple potatoes horseradish and pickled leaves.

Sharers

Dining with a large group of friends or colleagues? Why not split one of our sharers, offering a sumptuous selection of meats, fish or vegetables? Savour a taste of the Mediterranean with an assortment of Spanish cured meats, with sourdough and pickles on the side. Calamari, potted crab & prawn, and smoked salmon served with anchovies, caper berries and celeriac remoulade offer a taste of the deep sea, or the growers sharing board of tempura asparagus, sourdough bruschetta, olives and chargrilled artichokes & courgettes provides the ultimate option for vegetarians or guests enjoying. Lunch in Malvern has never been this good. #meatfreemonday.
