Summer Dining at The Cottage in the Wood

There is something very special about summer dining at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern. Sitting on the spacious 1919 Restaurant Terrace overlooking the spectacular views of the Malvern Hills, Severn Valley and the Cotswolds. Cold rosè mixed olives and good company is the perfect start to a balmy summer’s meal.  To add to the enjoyment, when you dine with us between Monday – Wednesday, from Monday 3rd August – Monday 31st August, Rishi will be picking up to £10 per person from your bill!  That sounds like an extra glass of something cold in the summer sun to us!

Our head chef Mark Redwood has designed a delicious new all-day dining menu, championing locally grown produce available right on our doorstep. He celebrates fresh and healthy produce, grown in our own gardens or foraged in the hills surrounding us, and we are thrilled to offer the eat out to help out scheme, whether you are dining with us for lunch or dinner.

We offer Small Plates inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean, all with a local twist. Freshly baked sourdough is served with mackerel tartare, pickled cucumber and oyster mayo. For a twist on an Italian classic, the sardine Bolognese arancini and romesco sauce sizzles with flavour in every bite. And the smoked ham croquetas with Hereford hop and zingy Tewkesbury mustard mayo juxtapose the local with the exotic.

We have embraced comfort favourites such as The Cottage Hot Dog, a homemade sausage seasoned to perfection by our chef team and served with all the traditional toppings including sauerkraut and crispy onions, while the roast fennel & golden beetroot salad topped with superfood quinoa, orange, pomegranate and pine nuts, celebrate amazing flavours bursting with summer freshness.

Traditional sandwich choices include the humble fish finger sandwich, elevated with freshly-caught breaded Cornish hake and homemade tartare sauce on granary & rye bread, and the classic The Cottage club sandwich, featuring a three-tiered toasted tower of chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.

The new Cottage Café menu is available from 12-5pm Monday-Saturday, with small plates starting from £3.50 and large plates from £9. Discover the full menu here [insert link] or book a table here.  The eat out to help out scheme which we are participating in is also available on our dinner, dessert, and afternoon tea menus.  All you have to do is choose which menu you are going to indulge in, book your table, bring your friends or family.  Your bill will show up to £10 per person off your meal, and we will do the rest so you can sit back and take in the view. Book your table now for an unforgettable summer dining at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern.
