Drinks, glorious drinks! Colourful cocktails, locally brewed ales and ciders, a chilled glass of Rosé or freshly squeezed orange juice – whatever you’re in the mood for, we would love to indulge you. We do great teas and coffees, too!
Our Lounge Bar is cool and relaxed, with deep armchairs and cosy sofas for lounging and hanging out with friends. Our décor has a nod to the hotel and local region’s musical past, with quirky art, records and cool images of musical legends adorning the walls. The sliding terrace doors lead out to our heated and covered terrace, with sweeping views as far as the eye can see.
The Lounge Bar is open all day, every day and serves a light and delicious snack menu of freshly made sandwiches, cheesy toasties, soup of the day, cake and luxurious cream tea with warm scones, clotted cream, jam and a cup of tea.
As day turns to night, a wide selection of spirits, fine champagnes, local ales and mixers are available, alongside all sorts of soft drinks or hot drinks, and our mixologists are happy to whip up whatever you desire. Sundowners on the terrace, anyone?
Terrace
Our heated and covered Terrace is a year-round option for outside dining and drinking, offering the chance to enjoy an alfresco meal in comfort.
Wine
Cheers! We are very serious about wine at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern and are tremendously proud to be included on The AA Notable Wine List 2023.
Not stuffy or preachy – just very keen for you to experience the best possible wine with our delicious food.
With over 100 bottles of wines from 40 different grape varieties from across the globe, as well as a fantastic Solaris from local vineyard Deer Park in Worcestershire, we are certain
that you will find a glass (or perhaps a bottle!) of wine that you’ll love at The Cottage in the Wood.
What do we drink?
Our General Manager, Michael, likes to celebrate with a bottle of Pierre Mignon Grande Reserve Premiere Cru whilst Hotel Owner, Nick, is particularly fond of a fabulous Marsannay 2018 by Domaine Joseph Roty.
Two favourites of our guests are the Italian Primativo, I Muri, Vigneti del Salento, and Domaine de Valcos Banyuls Rimage, Domaine Cazes, a particularly gorgeous dessert wine to complete your meal.
