Coronavirus: Taking Extra Precautions

We would like to reassure you that we are monitoring this rapidly evolving situation and are taking every measure to ensure even higher levels of hygiene at The Cottage in the Wood.

The health and safety of our guests, our staff and the wider community is paramount and we are closely following the advice of The Government, Public Health England, and the NHS.

Our terrific housekeeping staff are deep cleaning every bedroom post-check out every day, paying particularly close attention to surfaces. In public spaces, high touch areas are being kept especially clean and we have provided sanitisers in public areas. Our staff are being briefed every day on developments as and when they happen, and we are all adhering to UK Hospitality guidelines on hygiene.

We are implementing a social distancing policy within the hotel and will be ensuring that guests aren’t seated too closely to one another in 1919, at the bar or on the terrace.

Whilst we remain open and continue to welcome you, regrettably, we ask that if you or someone close to you are showing symptoms or have travelled from a country that is deemed at risk, to please avoid coming to visit until two full weeks have passed. To check whether this might apply to you, please click here for the NHS’s list of at-risk locations

We will stay connected with you and provide updates, in the meantime, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
