You The Staff The Cottage in the Wood is unique because of its setting. It also has the advantage of being privately owned and run by a family. Everyone who works here is, therefore, part of this larger family.

Our Guests Our guests too become part of this family. To us they are people, not numbers, they matter and we care about them. Every guest whether they come in for a cup of coffee or whether they occupy the best room for two weeks is equal in importance.

Atmosphere What we want to create is an atmosphere in which they can relax, very much as if they were at home, whether they are here for business or pleasure reasons, for one night or fourteen.

Friendliness Being part of the family means that we all have to be friendly and helpful and that, of course, on top of the underlying professional service our guests expect of a hotel of our quality. We're good at it and it's commented on.

We are here to help. Our guests are here to relax.
