Your Christmas

If  you're looking for a (mostly!) peaceful, friendly, comfortable Christmas break which in atmosphere becomes a house party and a real home from home, look no further!

The usual suspects will be on hand to welcome you - or in many cases welcome you back - to 'The Cottage', that's John, Sue and Dominic Pattin and son in law Nick and with the 'extended family' too of course.  As there's a programme of things to do (none demanding) but you choose and do whatever you want.

Itinerary

Christmas Eve

Aim to arrive by mid afternoon to enjoy afternoon tea and teacakes and begin to unwind in front of the open log fire.

Settle in, and then join John and Sue, their family and extended family for a pre-four-course dinner champagne reception.

Carols will be played by the local Choral Society after dinner. These people gladly visit us each year, donate their time, but do ask for a charity donation.

We will provide transport to and from Midnight Mass at the Little Malvern Priory (C of E) and St Wulstans (RC) for those that want.

Christmas Day

A leisurely start and a hearty full English breakfast will be followed by time to open presents or, for the more energetic, transport will be provided to enable you to walk to the British Camp (Iron Age Hill Fort) on the top of the Malvern Hills. Blow those cobwebs away!

Christmas toasts will precede a four-course traditional Christmas luncheon.
On this occasion, we will sit down at big family tables (no, you won't be split up). Crackers, whizzy balloons and blowers all provided!

Boxing Day

Start gently with full English breakfast.

If you are feeling you'd like to start the car up and stretch your legs, Warwick Castle is open and well worth the trip and there are various gardens and arboretums and so on to visit.  Both the GWR Preservation Railway and the Severn Valley Railways are running. We can kit you up with a picnic.

Lunch will be informal and buffet-style.

After lunch, Peter Taylor, our regular irrepressible quiz master will run a fun quiz.  Agreeable bottles to be won too!

Time for relaxing, afternoon tea if you 'de like, and then a four course dinner to complete the day.
